What to include in a correction report
When reporting an error, please include:
- The URL of the affected page.
- The specific command, configuration, or statement that is incorrect.
- What the correct version should be, and on which distribution and version you verified it.
We take accuracy seriously. If a guide has a mistake that could break someone's system or lose data, we treat that as urgent.

Response times
We are a small volunteer collective. We aim to respond to email within 3 to 5 business days. Error reports typically get faster attention. We do not offer real-time support or a help desk.
What we do not handle by email
We cannot troubleshoot specific system configurations over email — there are too many variables, and email is a poor medium for the iterative back-and- forth that debugging requires. If you are stuck, the Debian forums, the Arch Linux wiki, and the relevant Reddit communities are well-staffed and oriented toward interactive support.
We also do not accept paid guide commissions or sponsored content. Every article and guide on the site reflects our own experience and opinions, and we intend to keep it that way. If a piece of hardware or software appears on this site, it is because we use it and found it worth writing about, not because anyone paid for the coverage.
Reader contributions and corrections are genuinely appreciated. If you have run through a guide, found it useful, and spotted something that could be clearer or more accurate, we want to hear about it. The site improves because people take the time to send those notes.
